Current Tenants FAQ's
Is there a fee if I break my lease?
TVRManagement does have a reasonable policy that does include a fee - this policy is fully outlined and explained in the terms of each lease (a legally binding contract) signed prior to move-in. In addition to the fee, we may allow a lease contract to be broken after signing a new lease with a qualified replacement Tenant. While TVRManagement does everything possible to conform to Tenant/Landlord guidelines, we also strive to be each tenant's ally and best point of contact throughout the process.
How much notice is required to end my lease?
We require 30 days notice after your original or current lease has expired as specified in each tenant's lease.
How do I renew my lease?
Approximately 60 days prior to your lease's expiration date, TVRManagement will send you a letter or email outlining the options available to you. Please reach out to us after receiving these options if you have any questions or could use any guidance.
How clean must I leave my home or apartment upon vacating?
Guidelines state the rental property must be returned to the same condition as when you moved in. Part of the move-in process is your completion of a tenant move-in inspection report so you and TVRManagement have the same understanding of the condition at your move-in. As the "same condition" policy also applies to damages or repairs, it is important that you let us know as soon as an issue occurs so we may help to remedy the issue as soon and as best as possible.
Am I responsible for carpet cleaning upon vacating the property?
We require carpets to be professionally cleaned as per the terms of each lease and will require a receipt from a reputable company if you arrange the cleaning yourself. Please contact us for a list of approved vendors OR alternately ask us to arrange the cleaning on your behalf once you know the date that all furniture and belongings will have been moved out - we receive property manager discounts, which we will happily pass along to you!
When will I receive my security deposit refund?
Security deposits and pet deposits will be returned within 30 days after you have vacated the rental and will be accompanied by an itemized statement addressing any amount of the deposit applied to damages, repairs, or cleaning. Please make sure to provide us with your forwarding address in writing prior to your move-out for the purpose of refunding the deposit to you.
